Founded in 1882 by: FR. Michael J. McGiveney at St. Mary's Parish in New Haven Connecticut.

Presently the Knights of Columbus is an international society of more than 1.5 million Catholic men in over 11,000 councils.

We also have a Fraternal Insurance Program with over $20 billion currently in force. We are the #1 Catholic Fraternal Insurance Company in the world & 75th largest insurance company in the world with assets in the top 6%.

We are a Catholic Family, Fraternal and Service Organization. We:

    * Contribute over $3 million to Pro Life efforts.
    * Sponsor Daily Mass at St. Mary's Church for deceased members and their families.
    * Established the Pope John Paul Institute for the study of marriage.
    * Promote patriotism through the Fourth Degree of the Order.
