“Lights, Camera, Action”– Actual Scene “Shoot”. Watch as Film crew shoots an actual movie scene. You may even be an extra!

Break Re-locate to LSP Training Academy

11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Panel discussion – “Logistics of filming in a Maximum Security Prison”. Panel participants:  Warden, Directors, Producers, Film Crew, LSP employees, extras.

12:00 p.m. - 1:45 p.m.
Lunch View exhibits/film clips of movies filmed at this notorious prison, tour of prison grounds.  Entertainment provided by Angola Prison Band.

1:45 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
“How did they do that?” Review the scene shot in its edited version. Scene will be edited by professionals so you can see the finished product and ask questions.

2:30 p.m.
Closing remarks.

From Baton Rouge -- Take Hwy 110, exit to Hwy 61, past St. Francisville, left at Hwy 66 at the LSP sign. About 1 1/2 hour drive.
 
From Lafayette -- Take I-49 to Opelousas, Right on Hwy 190 to Livonia, left on Hwy 78, left on Hwy 1 to New Roads, take left in downtownNew Roads to Hwy 10, go to St. Francisville ferry, cross Mississippi River, travel through St. Francisville, left at 1st light to Hwy 3057, left on Hwy 61, left at Hwy 66 at LSP sign. About 2 1/2 hours drive.
 
From Alexandria -- Take Hwy 1 to New Roads, left on Hwy 10 to St. Francisville Ferry, cross Mississippi River, travel through St. Francisville, left at 1st light to Hwy 3057, left on Hwy 61, left at Hwy 66 at LSP sign. About 2 hours drive.
