GRACE CHURCH TO PRESENT
"AN EVENING OF GOSPEL MUSIC"
Grace Church will present An Evening of Gospel Music on Thursday, November 21, to benefit the church's 175th Anniversary "Fund for the Books". Donations will be used to buy books for the West Feliciana Middle School Library.|
The evening will begin at 5:30 pm with a reception in Jackson Hall at which light refreshments will be served. The music will commence at 6:30 in the church. Singers include members of the new West Feliciana Community Choir under the direction of Ken Dawson, which is composed of a cross-section of local church choirs. The choir will sing a medley of old-time gospel songs and will feature several soloists. High School students under the direction of Colleen Ramshur will also participate. These include soloists Robbie Gilmore and Miranda Brown. Paul Lakso will sing a gospel bluegrass duet with his father, Ray.
Middle school students will receive donations in the narthex of the church. Helping at the reception will be Grace Church's Youth Group and members of the high school Beta Club.
