Front gallery of The Cottage Plantation.      Recapture the charm and atmosphere of the Old South in St. Francisville's oldest established bed and breakfast. Sit in a luxuriant woodland with age old oaks draped with Spanish moss. At the Cottage, you may enjoy plantation life as it was long ago. It is one of the few remaining complete antebellum plantation complexes. Andrew Jackson was a guest at the Cottage on his way to Natchez after the Battle of New Orleans.

The house is surrounded by spacious galleries. From the south gallery you can see the plantation dependencies including law office/ school house, milk house, kitchen, smoke house, old slave quarters, barns and other structures that complete a working plantation. Guest rooms on the wing overlook the dependencies and the swimming pool. All guest rooms are furnished with antiques and have private baths.

In the morning, you are awakened with coffee brought to your room. Following is a hearty full plantation breakfast in the dining room.

On the premises there is a swimming pool and croquet for your enjoyment. Your hosts will advise you of the many historical points of interest found in the St. Francisville area. The many historic plantations and gardens in the area are always an interesting visit.

Turn back the pages of history and enjoy a restful never-to-be-forgotten vacation at Cottage Plantation where yesterday's unequaled hospitality can be found again.
