St. Francisville Inn
& Wolf's Antiques | |
Nestled among 100 year old, moss-draped oak trees lies the Wolf-Schlesinger House. Built in 1880, this home is a perfect example of Gothic Victorian architecture with its wide porches and guest parlor. In 1983, the house was meticulously restored and opened as The St. Francisville Inn. The main house features an antique shop, coffee shop and restaurant for group reservations. | |

In 1880, a prosperous merchant named Morris Wolf built this Victorian beauty. Directly across the street was Morris' commercial interest, M & E Wolf's General Store and Cotton Gin. Upon his death, ownership of the home was passed to Aaron Schlesinger; thus the name "Wolf-Schlesinger House." The interior of the home has been lovingly redone and features a spectacular original ceiling medallion decorated with Mardi Gras masks. This ten-bedroom guesthouse is a tribute to elegance and grace as each room is furnished with antiques & reproductions private full bathrooms (one double size Jacuzzi), cable television, and telephone. All rooms open onto a charming New Orleans-style courtyard with swimming pool. |
In the morning, enjoy the best gourmet breakfast included with your room rate. Shop through our large selection of antiques located in the main house. During the day or night enjoy a cold refreshing drink from the house bar, 60 different import & local brews, wines and cocktails. Or enjoy one of our homemade desserts with a fresh cup of espresso. Relax in the courtyard swimming pool during those warm summer evenings. |
