Port Hudson State Commemorative
Area Hike the six miles of well marked trails on this 899 acres of historic battlefield. Along the trails you will find three observation towers, an elevated broadwalk over the breastworks in the Fort Desperate Area, a museum, a picnic area and restrooms. And of course there are creeks, ponds, flora, and plenty of wildlife.

West Feliciana Historical Society & Information Center
Located in the old hardware store circa 1896, the museum houses photographic exhibits, miniature recreation rooms, period clothing and flags of the area. Visitors can find information, brochures and directions. Admission is free.

Spring Audubon Pilgrimage The third weekend of March each year.
The Annual Spring Pilgrimage is dedicated to the memory of John James Audubon,
who set himself the task of painting all the birds in America. Package Tours included: public and private historic homes opened for tours, vintage dancers, rural homestead and
many other festival events by the West Feliciana Parish Historical Society.

Audubon Country
BirdFest The Annual birding festival, "Audubon Country BirdFest" promises a wide array of birding field trips into spectacular wildlife areas showcasing the large number of both migratory and resident birds of the Felicianas, where John James Audubon produced art work on over 80 species. Guided field-trips, workshops, seminars and speakers highlight the festival located in Parker Memorial Park and the St. Francisville Inn.

be held at Locus Grove Cemetery. The Locus Grove Cemetery is now a State Commemorative Area and once was the family burial ground for Locus Grove Plantation

Day the War Stopped Held during the Summer . For a brief moment in 1863, the civil war stopped in the St. Francisville
for a burial of Lt. Commander John E. Hart, commander of the federal gunboat Albatross. In
commemoration of this unique event in history: a re-enactment of the burial, a play by local performers and other
activities are scheduled.

Christmas in the Country Annual event held on the first full weekend in
December.
