Shanty Too
The picturesque little village of St. Francisville was the commercial hub of the surrounding plantation country during the 19th century and is today enjoying a resurgence of popularity with shoppers thanks to quaint specialty shops like THE SHANTY TOO.

Owned by Fay and her husband Danny, the shop began life in a little shanty cabin 29 years ago and is now located right in the midst of St. Francisville's Historic District. There it has acquired a well-deserved reputation for its hand selected merchandise, personalized service and award-winning seasonal decorations.

The superb selection of merchandise has brought and kept customers coming from all over the country. They look forward to returning to the shop to purchase a treasure for a gift, something for their home, or a personal treat.

The shop carries gourmet foods such as hand-dipped truffles and specialty party foods. Manchu Oriental reproductions and Audubon prints which are popular in this area where the artist Audubon spent time painting his bird studies in the 1800's. Fay selects the best of the new to complement the finest of the old. Decorative accessories are shown on antiques and antique reproductions. Lamps, silver, crystal, sterling silver jewelry and Victorian night dresses are all specialties of the store.
